VIN # 30837S108097
Odometer reads 80,460, believed to be original miles.
Estate sale BARN FIND, stored in a barn for over 30 years. In the 1970’s the car was
turned into a custom show car. A 1967 stinger hood replaced the original hood, which is
long gone. The car was painted maroon with a black stinger. Side pipes were added to
give it a 67 big block look and sound. The interior was changed to black to go with the
exterior from dark blue vinyl. All the interior metal trim was chromed, as was most
removable metal under the hood. Not sure exactly when or why the car was parked and
stored as it was an estate sale. We were told around 30 years ago. Today after sitting for
so long, the car has been brought back to life and ready for the restoration it deserves.
Matching #’s 327/ 250 hp engine. Casting number 3782870. Date code A 18 3. Engine
pad number 3108097 F0122SC. Powerglide automatic transmission. Rear end code is
hard to read and looks like CA 1 5 63, 3.36:1 rear end gears. Correct air cleaner and
ignition shielding. Aluminum radiator. Correct carburetor and distributor. Suspension
looks original and in good condition. Since sitting we replaced the fuel pump, cleaned
out the gas tank, replaced bad fuel lines, rebuilt the carburetor. Replaced brake lines as
needed, all wheel cylinders, brake pads and master cylinder. Replaced the exhaust.
Changed all fluids, spark plugs and leads, points etc. Under the hood has just been
cleaned and not detailed. The car has come to life and drivers great.
Paint code is 916A, Daytona Blue. As mentioned painted in the 70’s maroon. The car
has a very nice body with boding strips intact and deserves to be stripped and painted
to its original color. The body gaps and fit are excellent. The chrome looks original and
in remarkable shape for it’s age, as is all the exterior stainless steel and bright work.
The under carriage is original and in good condition. The car still retains it’s original
unpainted fiberglass floors. Original glass which is in great shape. Steel wheels with
new radial tires. Factory hub caps which are in great shape.
Trim code 490J, Dark Blue vinyl, now black vinyl. The interior looks like it may have
been replaced and then put in storage not long after. The seats and seat foam are in
great shape. The dash pads and door panels look like new, as does the headliner. The
carpet is in great shape. The factory gauges look great. The whole interior is useable as
is and in overall great shape.
