engine recently rebuilt by the previous owner and was rebuilt with the
correct solid lifters and cam. Casting #
3782870. Date code L 211. Pad 2105230 F1227RE.
4-spd stick transmission. Correct upper shielding and air
cleaner. Correct style radiator, tach drive and
distributor. Rebuilt correct style carbs. Fully detailed engine
compartment. This car runs and drives like a dream, and has no
mechanical issues.
This
classic is finished in new Roman Red paint. It was painted about
8-months ago by a Corvette restoration shop in base coat, clear coat
urethane, and then color sanded and buffed. It looks super
nice. It has no visible chips or scratches. All the chrome
bumpers, emblems, etc., were removed prior to painting. Once
painted, the car was fitted with new door, trunk, hood, and deck lid
weather stripping. The bumpers were also re-chromed and
refitted. The original stainless emblems are in nice
condition. The CA frame was detailed in satin black paint and not undercoat!. There
are no rust or frame repair issues. The interior is black. The seat
covers, door panels and carpet were replaced with new ones, following
painting. The original dash pad is in very good condition.
The gauges are all original to the car and are all in working
order. It also has the correct lock out shifter and high horse
tach. The clock is original and is not functioning. The
wonder bar radio was replaced with a later model stereo/cassette
player. The car has a brand new black convertible
vinyl soft top. The top metal frame was detailed. New top
weather stripping, fitted. It has the original axillary hard top,
which was
painted at the same time as the body. The hard top glass is in
very good condition and has no cracks or scratches. The 205 x 75 x 15 tires are brand new, on
correct original rims with correct original hub caps which are in
excellent condition. Only 4,412 of 14,531 Corvettes in 1962 were
available with the 340 HP engine. How many are left? SOLD
