Fuel Injected Corvette
SHOW QUALITY, FRAME-OFF RESTORED
VIN E57S104809. Rebuilt matching #'s 283/283 horse power, fuel
injected engine. Casting # 373 1548. Date code
A97. Pad # F527EL. Fuel injection # 7014360.
Serial # 1533. 4-spd stick transmission. Correct upper and
lower shielding. All factory decals under the hood are in place.
Rebuilt rear
end. Date F37. 3.70:1 positraction. Dated and rebuilt
master cylinder, wiper motors, radiator, starter motor, fuel injection
unit, fuel pump, and distributor. A true frame-off
restoration. The body was taken off the chassis. The frame,
suspension, and rear end were disassembled and powder coated. All
black metal, shrouding, and splash pans under the hood were also powder
coated. All correct original bolts on the under carriage were
cadmium plated prior to reassembly. All front and rear suspension
bushings and body mounts are new. New wiring front to back,
including the interior and under the dash. New off road
exhaust front to back. New gas tank. Correct frame
stencils, suspension, and rear end markings. New brakes all
around. New fuel and brake lines. Correct wheels and hub
caps with wide white wall Firestone tires.
The whole body
was walnut shell blasted on a rotissery, top, bottom, and inside down
to bare fiberglass. Twenty two coat of primer and paint were
applied to factory specifications in correct color Venetian Red with
beige coves. The body is blocked and the paint is color sanded to
above factory quality.
All exterior
stainless steel trim has been polished to show quality. All
exterior chrome is re-plated to show quality. All exterior
emblems are new with correct gaskets. All body weather stripping
including windshield, and door felts are new. All interior door
mechanics are rebuilt.
Correct
replacement red interior. New Daytona carpet. New dash pad
and door panels. Totally rebuilt seat springs with new foam and
seat covers. Rebuilt correct gauges. Wonder Bar
radio. Rebuilt heater system. New white convertible soft
top with powder coated top base. New correct top weather
stripping. New correct dated windshield and side glass.
A true show
piece. ready for its first NCRS Top Flight award. Will be
auctioned at Bloomington Gold Corvettes on June 26, 2004.
